Palacio in Palma (in planning)
Palacio in Palma (in planning)
Palacio in Palma (in planning)

In the heart of Palma's old town, Palacio Can Granada redefines living in a historic city palace. Contemporary clarity meets Mallorquin identity; a project that not only shapes spaces, but also a way of life. In the morning, ride your scooter through sun-warmed alleys, have lunch at the harbour, and in the evening, enjoy a glass of red wine on your private roof terrace with a view over Palma: Can Granada translates Mediterranean everyday life into a modern, urban living concept. Design & concept The careful rethinking of the landmarked palace characterises the entire design. The architectural soul is preserved with an impressive open staircase, interior patio, historic ceilings and spacious entrance areas, and is translated into a modern design language. Generous elegance is combined with casual restraint. The room structure meets the requirements of contemporary living: open, clear, communal. Signature chevron wood floors made of French oak, matt oiled, form the basis. Custom-made furniture and large-format natural stone shape the apartments and communal areas. Precisely crafted door and window handles are a recurring detail throughout the entire project. The colour scheme remains deliberately restrained – white, grey, cream and taupe in soft, matt pigments. Custom fixtures, high skirting boards and finely lacquered wooden elements create a calm, elegant setting. Curtains, roller blinds, table and bed linen, cushions and linen decorations complement the harmonious material look. Accentuated leather refines selected furniture, doors and handle details, giving the interior its luxurious signature. Innovative highlights Iron, used on handrails, handles, curtain rods, bathroom accessories and steel glass doors, forms the contemporary counterpoint – a material that deliberately contrasts the historical context with modern coolness and elegance. The lighting is finely integrated: recessed light rails, indirect accents and atmospheric luminaires create architectural depth and intimacy. The bathrooms feel like private spa zones – natural stone, warm tones, high-quality fittings and spacious walk-in showers. The staircases are defined by design features and recurring iron details. Both functional and representative, they reflect the design standards of the entire palace. At the heart of the kitchen is an island made of natural stone and wood. A communicative place where everyday life and sociability can be combined. The spa area is an architectural highlight: a swimming pool with a counter-current system under a striking natural stone ceiling, complemented by lounge-style relaxation areas. The sauna, individually designed, combines fine woods with finely tuned lighting. Outdoor areas & private retreats The private roof terraces offer views over the rooftops of Palma. An outdoor kitchen, dining area and lounge create space for relaxing moments and social evenings. The bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms and dressing rooms form a quiet, exclusive retreat. Carefully placed reading lamps and atmospheric light sources create comfort and privacy. Historic ceiling paintings and rustic wooden beams have been preserved and sensitively combined with modern furnishings. The result is an authentic dialogue between tradition and contemporary living: Mediterranean, clear, minimalist and yet full of character.
