Interior design concept for a modern townhouse in Portixol
The owners of the modern townhouse in Portixol, a district of Palma by the sea, asked us to design and furnish their new holiday home. For the interior design, they wanted more cosiness in the rather cool-looking, existing rooms.
High-quality materials and surfaces such as the natural stone staircase, the SieMatic kitchen and the microcement floor create a base in natural tones, which were taken up in the furnishing concept. The black banister provides a contrast. This contrast is repeated with black elements, creating a harmonious interplay of different materials. Customised cupboards provide ample storage space and are flush with the ceiling. Soft carpets create a cosy atmosphere and frame the living areas. Accents of colour from side tables and home accessories, deliberate breaks with small pieces of Mallorquin furniture and matching art on the walls create a Mediterranean feel-good atmosphere.
Transparent linen curtains stylishly frame the living spaces. Atmospheric, indirect lighting complements the existing ambient lighting.
The roof terrace with outdoor lounge furniture and awning offers a wonderful view of the sea during the day, while the bar table and bar stools are the perfect place for a sundowner in the evening.
